Girls Who Can't Swim
Girls Who Can't Swim
Story
On the 20th of February, we are participating in the Rottnest Channel Swim and using this as an opportunity to raise money for the Stroke Foundation. One of our team members suffered a stroke at the age of 13 whilst in the water at surf club. Luckily, after ongoing rehabilitation and hard work she made a close to full recovery.
The Stroke Foundation aims to prevent, treat and beat stroke by raising awareness within the community, improving treatment for stroke survivors and expanding research. One stroke occurs every 9 minutes in Australia and 80% of these strokes could be prevented. This is why we’re choosing to raise money through our swim, to promote a healthy and active lifestyle which is one of the largest preventable measures.
Any donations using the link below would be greatly appreciated!
