Another year raising money for this incredible foundation which helps so many burn victims & holds a special place in Megan’s heart. After sustaining third degree burns to 36% of her body in the 2002 bali bombings her road to recovery was a long one & one that took years. Burn victims like Megan often require numerous surgeries, months of dressing changes, long rehabilitation, lengthy time of having to wear pressure garments, always being prone to infections & most of the time left with scars for the rest of their life. Scars that Megan has finally learned to live with & be comfortable in her own skin, but not everyone is so lucky! And this is why she feels so passionate about this Foundation & the work it does to help patients. The Fiona Wood Foundation is constantly researching & working on ways to reduce the impact of burns on patients mentally & physically. And thanks to the research program has already implemented some amazing new treatments & therapies for burns. Any donation big or small is hugely appreciated!!
